Description: The Hollywood Media Hotel was founded in 1999. This summer, the hotel celebrates its 10th anniversary. As a special film and movie hotel, the Hollywood Media Hotel is an extraordinary and unique project in Berlin and in Germany which fascinates its guests due to the singular ambience and composition of every single room in the hotel. Here, the guests can enjoy the glamour of Hollywood and feel like a legendary international film star. In the hotel, there are 182 rooms, junior suites and apartments available. The hotel and every single room is dedicated to the world of international film and to the great actors, directors and producers of the last century. The many photos and posters on the walls, elaborated biographies of the actors in the rooms, film props and themes give the Hollywood Media Hotel its individual air and lead the guests into the glamorous world of international film. The guest rooms are furnished with furniture in Biedermeier- and Castell Gandolfo style in six different colour schemes. Located to the front and rear of the hotel, the rooms offer their guests views of the inner courtyard, the side streets or directly onto Kurfürstendamm. The rooms provide all the amenities and comforts one would expect of a 4-star hotel.
Directions: Travelling by car:From the A100 autobahn: When leaving the autobahn at Kurfürstendamm it's only 3 km to the hotel. Continue alomg Kurfürstendamm towards the Zoo (Zoologischer Garten). The hotel is located on the right-hand side of Kurfürstendamm at the junction with Knesebeckstrae.We have 17 underground parking lots (17.00 per day) and 70 parking lots (14.00 per day). As the parking lots are limited we ask you to reserve a parking lot early with your room reservation. Additionally there are two more parking garages nearby on Knesebeckstrae.From 01 January 2008, it is necessary to buy a permit to enter Berlin city centre by car. You can buy these badges for 5.00 at all motor vehicle registration offices. More information can be found at: www.umwelt-plakette.deTravelling by plane: Berlin Airport -Tegel: Take the 109 bus towards the Zoo (Zoologischer Garten) as far as Bleibtreustrae. Continue walking in the same direction as the bus and the hotel is on the right-hand side of Kurfürstendamm at the junction with Knesebeckstrae. The journey takes about 30 minutes.Berlin Airport Schönefeld: Take the S9 tram towards Spandau as far as Savignyplatz. Go as far as Bleibtreustrae. Turn left at street level and walk down Bleibtreustrae until you reach Kurfürstendamm. Turn left onto Kurfürstendamm. After approximately 30 metres, you will see the hotel on the right-hand side of Kurfürstendamm at the junction with Knesebeckstrae. The journey takes about 1 hour.Travelling by train: From Berliner Hauptbahnhof (Platform 16), you can take any city railway (S5 towards Westkreuz, S7 towards Potsdam, or the S9 S75 heading to Spandau) to Savignyplatz. Exit Savignyplatz Bleibtreustrae and walk towards Knesebeckstrae. Turn left onto Knesebeckstrae (crosspass under the railway bridge) and walk up to Kurfürstendamm. Cross the Kurfürstendamm and the Hollywood Media Hotel is located diagonally on the right-hand side. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes.
